Senior Java Developer with Azure

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java Developer with Azure to join the team that maintains and extends a mission critical, high availability and low latency platform for handling orders and processing trades of a wide spectrum of investment products on multiple exchanges. The platform is growing in the types of assets being handled, the markets where trading is done, and the countries where it is being introduced.

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Wroclaw or Krakow.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement user-friendly applications, which integrate seamlessly into our application landscape
• Improve current and develop new features for several trading application GUIs
• Translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into technical designs
• Work closely with other senior software engineers, PMs, BAs, and business users (clients) to find the best possible technical solution for the project/available requirements
• Support the production users and investigate issues in production when contacted by the support team

• Solid background in development using a major language such as Java, JavaScript
• Skills in CI/CD, including tools such as Maven, Gradle, GitLab, etc., with GitLab as the code repository
• Knowledge of Containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes and Helm
• Solid background in design and implementation, including DevOps, for services on Azure Storage and Database services (Azure Data Lake, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, etc.), Big Data Services (Databricks, Synapse), ETL capabilities (Azure Data Factory), and orchestration via AKS
• Skills in Infrastructure-as-Code, using tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and the value of automation
• Excellent knowledge of the Linux environment
• Good knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Strong communication skills
• Proven record of successful delivery & ability to work to deadlines
• Working knowledge of the Securities Lending business area, and understanding of the various flows and complexities associated with it
