Senior Software Developer with Perl and Java

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Developer with Perl and Java to join the team that maintains and extends a mission-critical, high-availability, and low-latency platform for handling orders and processing trades of a wide spectrum of investment products on multiple exchanges. The platform is growing in the types of assets being handled, the markets where trading is done, and the countries where it is being introduced.

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Wroclaw or Krakow.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement user-friendly applications, which integrate seamlessly into our application landscape
• Improve current and develop new features for several trading application GUIs
• Translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into technical designs
• Work closely with other senior software engineers, PMs, BAs, and business users (clients) to find the best possible technical solution for the project/available requirements
• Support the production users and investigate issues in production when contacted by the support team

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with Perl and shell scripts
• Excellent knowledge of the Linux environment
• 5+ years of experience with Java and Python
• 2+ years of knowledge in Azure and Databricks
• Good knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Strong communication skills
• Proven record of successful delivery and the ability to work to deadlines
• Working knowledge of the Securities Lending business area
