Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer

We are currently looking to extend our team dedicated to creating and maintaining our highly available platform to support mission-critical emergency call handling NG911 systems. By leveraging virtualization, advanced automation, and a robust stack of technologies, we aim to deliver a seamless, scalable, and self-service infrastructure solution that accelerates business innovation. Teams are responsible for end-to-end solution development including design, implementation, testing, delivery, and maintenance in a 24/7 support model.

Technical skills - must have:

• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. PROXMOX, VMware ESXi, KVM).
• Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Ruby).
• Familiarity with automation of infrastructure and application deployments (e.g. Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of networking concepts and principles and security best practices.

Technical skills - should have:

• Knowledge of database management systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, MS SQL).
• Familiarity with message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ).
• Knowledge of log management and analytics tools (e.g. Elastic Stack, Prometheus).
• Understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with configuration management and version control systems.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
• Hands-on experience with the technologies mentioned above.
• Experience with large enterprise IT systems.
• Experience with highly available, zero-downtime platforms.
• Proven experience in ‘automate everything’ organizations.
• Experience in working with different time zones (fluent English).
