As a Solutions Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. You will build relationships, becoming a trusted advisor to our customers and deliver innovative solutions. You will get to work with all the technologies Akamai has to offer.
Responsibilities
- Growing revenue and acquire new business by evangelizing Akamai's technology to existing and prospective customers.
- Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate.
- Engaging with customers during the sales-cycle to gather requirements and develop proposals, design, delivery, demos and proof-of-concepts.
- Collaborating with internal Stakeholders to strengthen customer relationships by becoming the go-to person for technical queries.
Requirements
- Have experience in a technical pre-sales/sales engineering, consulting, or customer facing role delivering technical products or services.
- Demonstrate knowledge in Cloud and Internet technologies, including security solutions, compute, content delivery and web architecture (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, TLS).
- Have interpersonal savvy, a passion to solve problems, and a customer focused mindset.
- Have a thirst for learning and embracing new technologies.
- Be a good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment.
