Software Asset Management – Data Collection Officer

We are looking for skilled and motivated individuals to join our newly created team in Poland in the banking industry and be part of the Global SAM team. Many different software products are deployed into Production. You ensure the ability to collect the utilisation of these products that will allow a compliance position to be created.

To do so, you are using automated solutions and manual retrieval processes. Due to large portfolio of deployed software, your role is important to keep the inventory and repositories used for data collection up to date. You will work closely with the IT Production team who administer the Infrastructure to ensure that an up to date consistent view is maintained.

Your responsibilities

• Manage the data collection for any given scope in close collaboration with the Global SAM team
• Gathering data using discovery tools (Snowstorm, ADDM, ILMT, etc)
• Prepare, create, present, follow, monitor, analyze, and report IT licenses figures – in close collaboration with the Global SAM team
• Participating in the continuous improvement of the Data Collection process
• Contributing to improving the quality of inventory data
• Discussing best practices with peers
• Proposing changes for better control of risks, expenses, and compliance
• Contribute to any vendors inventories/audit requests.
• Support the IT managers for software optimization and monitor action plans
• Contribute to the software deployment strategies.
• Manage a Golden Source repository
• Prepare and manage SAM repositories

Our requirements

To succeed at this job, you must have:

• 5+ years of experience.
• Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analysing and interpreting data.
• Familiarity with vendor metrics of major vendors (SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Red Hat, Adobe, Microfocus)
• Knowledge in SAM Process or Software Procurement area
• IT knowledge and Ability to master IT Tools (Excel, Advanced query capacity)
• Experience with PaaS tools (Service Now, Jira, Remedy)
• IT Infrastructure knowledge, in particular Servers environment, cluster, virtualization
• Knowledge of MS Excel in advanced level (Pivot Tables, Functions and Formulas)
• Analytical ability, Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions.
• Great communication skills (oral and writing) in English
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
