SPIS (Service and Parts Information Solutions) is a small portfolio of aftermarket web solutions with over 140,000 users worldwide that supports the Service & Repair and Spare Parts Sale processes with distribution of Service, Standard Time, Tools, and Parts information.

The IT delivery manages requests coming mostly from Volvo Trucks that include development of new functionalities and enhancement of existing ones in the area of Services and Parts.

We are ~40 people organized in 4 SCRUM teams, and we work with the SAFe framework (Scaled Agile Framework) which aims to scale up agile methodologies to other levels of the organization, including business stakeholders.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Java software development
  • Experience with:
  • API design and implementation
  • Synchronous (e.g., REST) and asynchronous integration (e.g., AMQP)
  • DevOps tools (e.g., Git, JIRA)
  • Containers and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Spring framework and Hibernate ORM
  • Developing microservices using Spring Boot
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL and database interaction
  • Familiarity with application servers (e.g., JBoss)
