Job Purpose and Overview

  • Appfire is seeking a full-time Data Engineer!
  • In this critical role, you will help build and evolve our company-wide data assets from a very early stage. Leveraging your python and SQL skills, data warehousing experience, and your background setting up robust infrastructure, you will help develop technologies, solutions, and data pipelines to achieve a unified and efficient ecosystem for Appfire’s decisions and capabilities. We’re growing quickly and have a lot to accomplish.
  • You will be part of a central data insights team providing a variety of data and analytics services to support company-wide initiatives, allowing ample opportunity to gain valuable experience into the company decision-making as a whole, broaden your technical and business skills, and grow your career.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain governance and access control strategies across our infrastructure and tools
  • Develop and deploy testing and monitoring solutions to ensure data integrity
  • Build strategic relationships with business, analytics, and engineering teams to build robust and scalable solutions to complex problems
  • Create and maintain key infrastructure supporting decisions across Appfire
  • Be a key driver to the evolution of our data lake/warehouse (AWS/Snowflake)
  • Be a subject matter expert on our data, tech stack, tools, and data infrastructure
  • Be a key contributor to the team’s development processes and adoption of best practices
  • Drive UAT efforts with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet their business requirements
  • Help carry out proof of concepts for new tools and/or processes
  • Write and leverage knowledge base articles to document procedures and reports
  • Stay on the forefront of the rapidly evolving Data landscape to ensure the team leverages best-in-class technologies and methodologies, allowing us to scale quickly and securely

  • Salary Ranges: Perm (UoP) 10 000 - 15 000 PLN gross/month.

  • 3+ years’ experience in a data / software engineering role with a solid understanding of modern data warehousing and software development approaches and best practices
  • 3+ years’ experience with Python
  • 3+ years’ experience in ETL development
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong personal organization skills and ability to multitask
  • Experience working with ETL and Reverse ETL tools preferred (Fivetran, Stitch, Hightouch, Census, etc.)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision on 3-5 concurrent projects
  • Cloud Infrastructure/Orchestration/Docker experience preferred
  • AWS/Airflow/Terraform experience preferred
  • Snowflake/DBT experience preferred
