• 5+ years of experience in MQ middleware on z/OS and Linux support and administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with IBM MQ middleware, including installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in MQ build, setup and administration in Point to Point, Multi-Instance, Clustering, Pub/Sub.
• Skills in scripting language like bash.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to MQ middleware on Linux and z/OS.
• Understanding of security concepts and best practices, including user authentication, access control, encryption (SSL) and audit logging to ensure security of MQ middleware on Linux and on z/OS platform.
• Block IP implementation and troubleshooting.
• Experience in implementing and managing high availability solutions, such as clustering and failover mechanism, migration as well as disaster recovery strategies for MQ middleware on Linux and z/OS environments.
• Skills in capacity planning and resource management to anticipate future growth and ensure optimal and scalability of MQ middleware and system infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of middleware architecture and design.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
