Our client in banking and capital markets industry is building a centralized platform for its sales and trading business vertical.
A critical challenge is the client experience, where clients face off with three separate businesses, rather than a one-stop-shop. This experience is mirrored on the back-end with three separate workflows and infrastructures across products.
We are building a team to engage in development of a centralized, in-house driven sales and trading platform, engaging with IT and control functions in support of rollout across all trading business.
- Responsible for guaranteeing a level of quality for the Client and helping the software development team identify problems early in the process.
- Performs required activities without assistance according to proven techniques.
- Understands advantages and disadvantages and supports certain QA practices.
- Knows available automation tools and frameworks and is able to select optimal technology stack based on type of tested system/application.
- Shapes QA process, performs testing activities according to best practices, and shares knowledge with less experienced QAs in the team.
- Engages with the entire team to drive best practices to drive towards defect prevention rather than detection.
MUST
- Min. 8+ years of experience as QA engineer
- Great manual testing skills
- Testing activities without assistance according to testing proven practices
- Focused on getting tests to pass or test frameworks to run smoothly. They should be looking to break things, find bugs.
- Experience with test automation with Java
- Produces technical and/or business-related tests
- Describes defects found to technical and business people
- Experienced in gathering requirements from stakeholders, developers to understand and clarify requirements
- Design test scenarios according to proven test techniques (Boundary values analysis, Equivalents Classes, Orthogonal Test Arrays, Decision Tables)
- Creates test plan, Run tests, Log defects, Track defects
- Estimates the time needed for test activities without assistance
- Understanding of business domain and ability to verify whether test results meet business requirements
- Identifying non-functional requirements
- Prepares tests covering non-functional requirements
- Documentation skills on high level
