About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Unix Engineer with deep knowledge in both Solaris and Linux OS’ and infrastructure, who wants to join our team supporting a client from the private banking sector. This job offer is addressed to professionals, who have the skills, knowledge and experience in OS administration, automation, and related tasks and who wish to grow and develop their skills in engaging and fast-paced environment.

Your future tasks:

• Creating, configuring, and managing Zones and VMs
• Patching OS and firmware of servers
• Orchestrating automation with Ansible, shell scripts, and cron jobs
• Resolving OS related incidents and analyzing server performance
• Planning, coordinating, and implementing changes with other 3rd line support teams
• Participating in infrastructure projects, that’ll help you grow, and develop your skills across various fields, and technologies

• Wide experience in building and managing Solaris and Linux servers
• High skill in managing Solaris and Linux file systems and storage (LVM, NFS, automount, LUN etc.)
• Proficiency in automation and management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Red Hat Satellite etc.)
• Experience in bash, bourne and yaml scripting and cron job scheduling
• Knowledge in Solaris Zone management
• Knowledge in virtualization technologies required to deploy, and manage Linux VMs (VMWare vSphere, Red Hat Virtualization etc.)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure etc.)
• Familiarity with monitoring technologies (CA Spectrum, Zabbix etc.)
