- Custom Development:
- Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP solutions to enhance SAP Transport Management (TM) functionalities.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Enhancements and User Exits:
- Create enhancements and implement user exits in SAP TM to meet specific business process requirements.
- Work on modifications to standard SAP TM functionalities to optimize transportation processes.
- Interfaces and Integrations:
- Develop and maintain interfaces between SAP TM and other SAP modules or external systems.
- Ensure seamless data flow and integration with third-party logistics systems or transportation partners.
- Performance Optimization:
- Identify and implement performance improvements in custom ABAP code to optimize the overall performance of SAP TM processes.
- Conduct performance tuning and monitoring of ABAP programs related to transportation management.
S. Debugging and Troubleshooting:
- Investigate and resolve issues related to custom developments and integrations within the SAP TM environment.
- Utilize ABAP debugging tools for effective troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for custom ABAP developments, including technical specifications, coding standards, and change logs.
- Provide documentation for knowledge transfer to support and maintenance teams.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP TM functional consultants,
business analysts, and other SAP developers, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise on SAP TM-related development activities.
- Testing:
- Conduct unit testing and support integration testing of custom ABAP developments.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure the reliability and functionality of developed solutions.
MUST
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in ABAP development.
- Extensive experience as an SAP ABAP Developer with a focus on Transport Management.
- Proficiency in ABAP programming language and development tools.
- Strong understanding of SAP TM functionalities and processes.
- Experience with SAP TM data structures, master data, and integration points.
- Knowledge of SAP TM user exits, BAdls, and enhancement frameworks.
- Familiarity with SAP TM configuration and customization.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Certifications:
- SAP Certified Development Professional - ABAP for SAP HANA
- SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP Cloud Platform Integration
