Senior ML Engineer / Developer (with Data Science Experience)

• Upgrade existing basic scripts into advanced, production-ready workflows that will act as the initial phase in the development of comprehensive, strategic solutions.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of graph calibration tools to aid data scientists in their analytical processes.
• Play a key role in merging model calibration and graph construction frameworks with the existing development team's methodologies.
• Collaborate with data scientists to understand their needs and translate these into efficient, scalable software solutions.
• Ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the developed tools through rigorous testing and validation in collaboration with the quality assurance team.
• Maintain and update the workflows and tools regularly to adapt to new requirements and technological advancements.
• Provide technical support and training to team members, ensuring efficient use and understanding of the new systems and tools.
• Continuously seek opportunities to optimize and automate processes within the team’s workflow, driving efficiency and productivity.

• Advanced proficiency in data analysis libraries including Pandas, Numpy, and Scipy.
• Substantial experience in Python programming, particularly in developing backend APIs and writing bash scripts.
• Proven track record of effectively collaborating with data scientists to evolve Jupyter Notebook prototypes into robust, production-level applications for team deployment.
• Demonstrated ability to seamlessly integrate and contribute within a team consisting of 6 software developers and 4 data scientists.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in the field of software engineering, with a focus on data-driven application development.

Desired/Obtained Qualifications and Experience:

• A foundational understanding of Bayesian networks and principles of probability.
• Proven experience in working synergistically with data scientists or in the realm of ML Ops.
• High-level proficiency in Python programming.
• Practical knowledge and experience with Docker for containerization.
• In-depth understanding of version control and workflow management using Git, along with expertise in Gitlab CI/CD for continuous integration and deployment.
• Exceptional communication skills, particularly in a remotely distributed team environment, showing creativity, an innovative mindset, and proficiency in pair programming and collaborative projects.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, with a strong focus on software development and data science.
