As a DevOps / SecOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution. Your role will involve driving service improvement through automation and innovation, focusing on various aspects of infrastructure management and security.
Your main responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining database systems on-premises and in the cloud
- Automating workflows and processes to ensure system reliability and efficiency
- Implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting for incident management and capacity tracking
- Conducting root cause analysis for major incidents and managing service delivery
- Collaborating with stakeholders across Cybersecurity and IT teams to develop and maintain protective solutions
- Investigating and delivering innovation within the Cybersecurity team for both BAU and strategic projects

You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Strong understanding of RedHat (RHEL) and IP networking
- Proficiency in Ansible for automation tasks
- Good scripting skills for task optimization
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins
- Understanding of Vulnerability and Change Management processes
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or Ali
- Implementing observability with tools like Application Dynamics, Splunk, xMatters
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Helm
- Databases: MSSQL, PostgreSQL
- Containerization, Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes; GKE
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work in culturally diverse teams
- Code: Bash, Python, PowerShell
- Secrets management: Hashicorp Vault
- Artifact repository: Nexus
- ITIL / Agile delivery experience: Jira, Service Now
- Experience with similar but not identical tools also acceptable eg. ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Oracle
- Ability to adapt and understand new technologies, with a self-motivated learning attitude
