Junior Java Developer

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Java/Kotlin-based applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness under the guidance of senior developers.
• Write comprehensive product documentation to clearly describe software capabilities for customers.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to implement new features and improve existing ones. Participate in scrum meetings, refine tasks, and provide time estimates.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high code quality.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS to streamline the deployment process.
• Occasionally visit our Katowice office to engage directly with the team, fostering stronger collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Knowledge of the Spring Boot framework and AWS services, with practical experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases.
• Willingness to work with Kotlin, with familiarity being a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. Fluent communication in English and Polish.
• You are available to work in a hybrid mode: both in our office in Katowice and from home. Working from the office includes 2 - 3 days a week.

Concept Reply advises and supports customers from the automotive, manufacturing, smart infrastructure and other sectors in all matters relating to the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing. The aim is to offer end-to-end solutions along the entire value chain: from the definition of an IoT strategy and advice on possible applications to the design and implementation of a concrete solution. This includes the selection of suitable technologies and components, the communication and interaction between objects and devices, and their integration. Concept Reply designs and develops complete project plans as well as customized individual components and systems.
