Senior Test Automation Engineer (Python + networking)

Project – the aim you’ll have

We are responsible for a new project for our client, where we build private cloud solution for the government of the country in Western Europe. In addition to building, the focus is also on migration and maintenance by means of automation within this new (container) platform.

Position – how you’ll contribute

As the senior tester, you will be responsible for leading the product quality delivery to the client by reviewing the team's testing approach and making any necessary improvements to it. You will be also responsible for creating E2E and functional tests together with architects, developers and the client.

• Participate in daily team meetings/ Agile meetings.
• Extend and maintain existing test automation scenarios.
• Review results of regular (nightly) test runs.
• Investigate failures in test runs, rectify problematic tests, and log defects as necessary.
• Analyze requirements for new features before implementation to gain a comprehensive understanding of expected behavior and its impact on other features.
• Engage in code reviews, coverage reviews, and peer review meetings.

Expectations – the experience you need

• 5+ years of experience with test automation.
• Excellent leadership, motivational, and collaboration abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven expertise in building automated test frameworks that span the entire stack.
• Python + Pytest programming experience.
• Extensive experience with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of infrastructure and networks (Virtualization, Firewalls, Load Balancing, Proxy and Forward Proxy, IPv4 and IPv6).
• A strong ownership mindset with the ability to take responsibility for the quality and completeness of the testing process.
• Demonstrates an Agile mindset, with experience in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).

Additional skills – the edge you have

• Strong analytical and logical thinking abilities, coupled with a natural curiosity to delve into the broader context.
• A demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
• Experience with Robot Framework, Terraform, Rabbit MQ.
