Our client is a UK subsidiary of a global financial house working in multiple markets and asset classes. Multiple Luxoft teams are involved in development and support of a range of client applications.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Technical Support Engineer or Technical Project Manager who can co-ordinate and motivate the team, has a passion and desire for customer services and to excel in their role. Application Support Lead will be responsible for ensuring the team performs to the highest levels and SLA commitments are met with exceptional customer services, and to be a conduit between support and development. You need to have strong communications skills, both written and verbal and the ability to take ownership of incidents, whilst ensuring issues are being prioritized and resolved effectively.

Successful candidate will join a group of 4 people working flexible hours covering jointly the time range from 7 am to 8pm CET.

  • Supervise and lead the L2 BAU Support Team
  • Communicating with client on user issues.
  • Resolving client problems in different ways, proposing workarounds, applying fixes according to SLA and incident/problem management practices.
  • Control-M batches monitoring with proper response on delays or issues raised (SLAB reports, P1/P2 incident notifications).
  • Be focal point for support team, ensuring high standards are consistently preserved, recognizing strengths and weaknesses and acting on them. Mentoring of support team to analyze and implement suitable solutions.
  • Working on integrated environment across multiple technologies.
  • Build/update the knowledge base across the business, ensure documentation of the configuration process of the software products, to help with the further project implementation.
  • Technical Knowledge of SQL - basic scripting, writing SQL statements.
  • Ability to highlight and implement service improvements.
  • Release and Change Management through constant communication with development team
  • Small changes implementation.
  • Make sure follow best practice and internal processes.
  • Understanding of ITIL and implement some of the procedures into the team

MUST
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading the L2 application support Team
  • Proven track record in delivering an excellent service to customers and key stakeholders
  • Good understanding of Programming
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root cause and implement controlled changes
  • Strong knowledge in Incident, Problem, Change Management
  • Working practice in ServiceNow
  • SQL knowledge - ability to create SQL scripts and queries, work with stored procedure
  • Ability to communicate verbally with client in English: written/spoken -English on upper-intermediate level or higher.
  • Basic Java skills, reading and understanding Java code.
  • Understanding common SDLC.
  • Investment Banking Experience (Back and Middle Office Application Support)
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience in SQL performance tuning, understanding query plan is a big plus.
  • Control-M usage
