We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer/ Software Developer specializing in Firmware design and development of ECU for HVAC products. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparation of requirement and functional specification for suppliers, verification of SW and implementation of necessary changes in firmware.
Your responsibilities:
- Creating requirements and preparing functional specifications for embedded software (firmware) for real-time, safety-related systems.
- Overseeing the quality, documentation, debugging and release of firmware for products.
- Designing and validating control and regulation algorithms for HVAC Systems (Heat pumps).
- Implementing software changes in C language and performing software tests (30% of work).
- Optimizing and integrating external and internal software components in cooperation with suppliers.
- Collaborating with quality assurance, system designers and suppliers.
- Bachelor's or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of the products/systems in the HVAC Industry (mainly Heat pumps).
- Very good programming skills in C.
- Sound experience in ModBus communication and PID Control.
- Experience in documenting software requirements and preparing functional specifications for SW.
- Experience in working with Git and Jira.
- Basic knowledge of HW circuit topologies.
- Experience in using electronic measurement instruments.
- Knowledge of Renesas microcontrollers (a plus).
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Openness to occasional business travel to Lecco, Italy.
