About Medusa
Medusa had its first commit in 2020, raised the first round of capital in 2021, and became the largest open-source commerce project on GitHub in 2022. Today, Medusa counts a 10k developer community, has crossed +1M npm downloads, and has raised $9M in funding. Yet, we are only just getting started.
For the past few years, the team has been fully focused on developing an open-source platform with modules for core commerce logic such as carts, customers, products, and order management. In combination with our framework for customization, we allow commerce companies of all sizes to build scalable and robust applications with custom business logic living natively in their stack.

All commerce companies need some level of customization. Our modular architecture and framework provide the foundation to support this. We allow you to create new data models, business logic, API endpoints, subscribers, and more. The combination of powerful commerce modules and a framework for customization allows companies to build applications that realize their full potential—and they can build them faster than with any other platform.
You will assist our users in achieving their goals. Alongside our founding team, you will work closely with technical leaders and engineering teams building with Medusa, ranging from the world’s largest companies to fast-growing startups. Your learnings from user conversations will help us shape our product by collaborating with our engineering and product team.
Examples of what you will do:
- Lay the foundation for our Solutions Engineering team
- Lead technical evaluations of user needs and translate them into solution designs
- Demonstrate our product and platform to technical and non-technical users
- Forward insights from user conversations to our product and engineering teams
- Act as a primary touch-point for communication with our users
Who you are
- You have five years of experience with solutions engineering, preferably with applications built in Node.js
- You have exceptional spoken and written communication skills
- You are comfortable presenting for key technical stakeholders
- You have a passion for problem-solving
- You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- You like to work hard
