We're Structured Products and Solution team and we're currently 700 technologists developing platforms providing seamless digital front-to-back client experience. Our core platform is a backbone for the IB and WM Structured Products business and also support ambitions across the broader IB too.
SP&S Center of Excellence gathers senior experts in key technologies, including Cloud, Kafka, UI and Kubernetes, as well as technology and solutions architects, who are to provide solution and guide our application teams through complex challenges.
We're looking for Kafka Subject Matter Expert (SME) to:
- provide strong technical Kafka expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives, enhance our existing applications and advise technology teams how to optimally use Kafka technology
- provide technology solutions that will solve business problems related to events and messaging platforms and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
- design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions based on Kafka and other event-driven technologies
- build, maintain and enhance the Kafka platform
- perform high-level root-cause analysis for service interruption recovery and create preventive measures.
MUST
Your expertise:
- 4+ years of hands-on production experience and a deep understanding of the Kafka architecture and internals of how it works, along with the interplay of architectural components: brokers, Zookeeper, producers/consumers, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams.
- DevOps background - experience in kafka configuration
- Knowledge of the Kafka Connect framework
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux as a power user
- Experience in planning and delivering solutions in a large scale enterprise environment
- Ability to code in any scripting language also desirable
