Develocraft is currently looking for a Senior Full-stack Developer for one of our international clients. You will work in a project regarding models and analysis centred on economic forecasts, risk assessments and speciality maritime and trade data products. Economic forecasts cover the standard macroeconomic indicators to commodities pricing to world trade flow forecasts and everything in between. Risk assessments cover risks that range from political violence to civil unrest to violent crime risk, and we do this from the level of the nation.
As a developer on our team, you will be:
- You will collaborate with the wider team to identify the features needed for development and their functional requirements in sprints and planning sessions based on business requirements.
- You will support the implementation of UI components and the interface against the API and storage layer.
- You will implement API functionality and enhance performance to ensure a snappy, reactive application.
- You will deploy components using Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and CI/CD practices.
- You will engage in cross-team project meetings, code reviews, and demos in an agile environment.

Hard skills:
- Deeply knowledgeable in **JavaScript/Typescript**, as well as **HTML/SCSS/SASS**, NPM, and alternatives to **Webpack**.
- Skilled in the development of custom React components and the creation of ReactJS applications.
- Able to develop **Python** RESTful APIs using **Flask or FAST API**, designed for asynchronously triggering sampling jobs and asynchronously retrieving results from the storage layer.
- Experienced in deploying applications on **AWS**, including familiarity with AWS components such as EC2/ECS/Fargate, ECR, Lambda/MWAA, S3, Cognito, DynamoDB, Aurora, Cloudwatch, Secrets-manager, and SQS.
- Proficient with Data Version Control tools like DVC, MLFlow, and Git.
- Experienced with ETL Tools, including Airflow or Step Functions, and an understanding of 'DAG'
- Knowledgeable in deployment practices involving AWS, Terraform, Gitlab CI/CD setup, Docker, and Artifactory.
- Proficient in Unit Testing, TDD, and dockerized integration testing.
- Interested in bridging the gap between front-end and back-end systems.
- Possessing over 5 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in web application development
- English language - B2
