VMware Cloud Foundation System Engineer

Team Member with responsibility of managing VMware vSphere and Cloud Foundation Infrastructure environment and related technology.
Manage the VMware vSphere and Cloud foundation infrastructure and implement changes on the environment.
Responsible for product management and transformation in collaboration with our system architects.
Technical activities including hardware/OS/application implementation and support.
Support asset inventory of ESX systems to ensure discovery and correct reporting in our CMDB (we don’t have this yet but I need vmware admin support for this).
Produce frequent license audits, remain compliant with licensing under the guidelines of our enterprise agreement, and collaborate with the licensing team on license, audit and compliance activities.
Review and recommend server & software for corporate and customer applications.
Ongoing projects & production support
Plan and execute regular IT equipment refresh (Servers, storage and Software refresh, etc.)
Provide system performance and tuning as well as root cause determination in the event of failures.
Collaborates with the global vmware team and other IT towers to design future and support actual vmware environment.
Collaborates with the business system owners to provide them the needed support and understand their requirements.
Support and manage Incident, change, problem and knowledge tickets and tasks.
Responsible to create and review product documentation and standard operating procedures.
Maintain system documentation up-to-date.
Maintain the backlogs and current work items in Azure DevOps for your innovations.
Apply security recommendation as recommended from the security group.
Applies all QA Procedures as assigned

Minimum 5 years of experience as Sytsem Administrator or Systems Engineering

VMware VCP 7/8 certification

VMware Cloud Foundation certifications or trainings accomplished

VMware NSX certifications or trainings accomplished

Knowledge on NVIDIA GPU intergration at Vmware

NetAPP and VSAN experience.

Sound knowledge of and professional technical experience with Vmware technology and releated technology.

VMware vSphere and Cloud Foundation, NSX, Windows 2016/2019, Storage VSAN, NAS, SAN.

Familiarity with powerCLI and other scripting languages.
