Linux is at the center of several Hitachi Energy products. Grid Automation BU is looking for a Linux expert to strengthen the Common Linux product team. This team centralizes Linux knowledge, coordinates Linux distributions efforts, and supports product teams for Linux-related topics.
- Develop and maintain multiple branches of Linux distributions;
- Merge versions, apply patch management processes;
- Automate configuration management;
- Take responsibility for the processes about Linux in general;
- Actively contribute to the integration of Linux into Hitachi Energy products;
- Actively maintain Hitachi Energy Linux solutions and tools.

- Good understanding of Linux architecture and an interest for Open Source Software. Existing contributions to Open Source Software development are a strong plus;
- Knowledge of the Yocto project, previous experience shipping projects with it;
- Good knowledge of Bash scripts, Python, and C/C++;
- Software engineering know-how;
- Very good in English, both spoken and written.
