Context for the role: Deutsche Telekom is at the forefront of a transformative movement in the telecommunications industry. To get full potential of new networks, we are opening it up, allowing external developers to access them via APIs. That means extracting information from the network and configure it. These capabilities, new and more powerful in the 5G network, provide secure and controlled exposure, transforming operator networks into service enablement platforms.

That is where we need You: To unlock the true potential of these capabilities, we require skilled individuals to bridge the gap from traditional telco industry to developer-driven API economy. This abstraction is essential for several reasons:

• Simplifying telco complexity, making APIs user-friendly for customers with no telco expertise.
• Facilitating seamless application-to-network integration.
• Managing different types of stakeholders, both internal and external (like from industry vide standardization consortia and open-source community)

Your Role as a vital member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

• Defining APIs and its pricing basing on users’ feedback, business needs and industry organizations there: create EPICS, user stories and developer issues.
• Driving API development via: defining sprint goal, leading SCRUM development team and accepting sprints results

WHAT SKILLS WILL BE APPRECIATED?

Domain Knowledge

+1 year of experience in technology and business processes of the telco domain.

Product Ownership: 2. At least 2-3 years of product owner experience. Experienced in product development and responsible for bringing at least one product to the market. Having ability to:

• write clear and concise EPICS/user stories to describe the needs of teams and explain them to developers.
• prioritize user stories and create roadmaps.
• create developer issues for user stories.
• steer developers.
• align user stories and issues with other IT/NT units.
• define the pricing for APIs

Technical Expertise: 

  !Good knowledge about Kubernetes, API management systems, IAMs.!

1. Excellent knowledge in API development and related technologies.
2. Experience in design & development of scalable microservices.
3. Good knowledge about DevOps best-practices.
4. Ability to develop detailed product feature specifications.
5. Proficiency in JIRA.

Agile and SCRUM: Solid knowledge of the SCRUM methodology in theory and practice. Good to have certification for product owner (Scrum certified PO).
