Our Frontend Engineer will be integral in developing and optimizing complex web applications. In the position, one will determine the structure and design of apps and communicate design ideas with the Hayden AI leadership ushering user flows, process flows, and wireframes. The engineer will develop features to enhance the user experience and ensure UX determines design choices. The completed projects should strike a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
A strong candidate will be comfortable analyzing customer responses and app data to determine high impact features and interpreting why some are more impactful than others. The engineer will lead in optimizing UI and UX for maximum speed and scalability while maintaining consistency and ease of use throughout design.
A qualified candidate must hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field and have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing complex web applications. Technical skills required include proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React as well as experience with REST APIs, understanding web performance, algorithms and data structures as well as having general understanding of cloud services. Experience and confidence with different types of advanced frontend techniques (mixing paradigms, libraries and vanilla functionalities) is very welcome. The apps that are being built are very data intensive and lots of data processing is being done on the frontend. The candidate is expected to be able to navigate around different algorithms and to be able to choose the most appropriate solution, balancing maintenance, complexity and performance.
