The Site Reliability Engineer is a critical part of our SaaS platform strategy. In this role you will work closely with engineering to ensure the observability, availability and performance of Tricentis Products, you will join an established Cloud Operations team.

As an SRE, you will work closely with product teams. You will coach, mentor, and proactively support team members as they develop their product, helping create feedback loops from production to development. Your role is key in expanding our ability to rapidly prototype, iterate and deliver new features to our customers.

  • Responsibility for technical leadership of SRE team including processes design, establishing and monitoring.
  • Respond to, and attempt to resolve, application or security incidents. Troubleshoot distributed Java and NodeJS applications with a relational DB Backend, running on Kubernetes.
  • Utilize tools, such as Datadog, AWS Cloudwatch to investigate incidents, provide detailed analysis of the symptoms and events surrounding the incident.
  • Utilize tools, such as AWS System Manager, AWS Lambda, Bash, and Python to automate remediation and recovery from incidents.
  • Utilize PagerDuty to manage incident response, generate reports and provide feedback and insights to product and engineering teams. Assist in prioritization of fixing technical debt to improve stability of the products.
  • Create runbooks that detail how an incident was investigated, how an incident was resolved, common symptoms of an incident so that this knowledge base can be used in the future.
  • Research/Implement/Use tooling to increase uptime and availability of our products.
  • Design/implement application monitoring and performance metrics/dashboards

MUST
  • 4+ years in an SRE/DevOps role
  • 8+ years of overall experience in IT
  • 3+ years of full-time experience operating applications on AWS
  • readiness for compensated on-call duties
  • Knowledge of common AWS services such as Route53, EKS, ECR, RDS, VPC, IAM, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation, Lambda, CloudWatch
  • Experience with Java applications, ability to read, investigate, fix Java code. Debugging skills
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS/Fargate
  • Experience in CI/CD, GIT, Terraform
  • 3+ years experience with one or more scripting languages, such as bash, or python
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaaS)
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
