Data Solutions Architect (DevOps Engineer)

Data Practice at PwC Data & BI is a group of 50 professionals helping our clients to become data-driven organizations and take advantage of data they collect & process by delivering full-scale, cloud based data & analytics platforms and reporting solutions. We cooperate with clients from a variety of industries e.g. manufacturing,  financial services, automotive, energy, FMCG etc.

Currently we are looking for experienced Data Solutions Architect (Senior DevOps Engineer) to join our Data Practice.

•  Be actively involved in pre-sales activities proposing solutions, suitable delivery approach & estimating effort required to design and implement solutions,
• Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges,
• Propose innovative, cloud based solutions in Data Lakehouse area and participate in delivery for clients from variety of industries,
• Optimizing and developing continuous integration and delivery, as well as being involved in the integration of new cloud technologies and the conception of infrastructures
• Cooperate with other team members in the course of all project stages, providing expert support, adjusting proposed solutions and sorting out identified problems,
• Collaborate with other technical and non-technical team members, clients, and vendors in technology neutral language to define, build, and deliver solutions,
• Train, coach, and supervise less experienced teammates,
• Actively contribute to shaping and development of our data practice value proposition.

•  At least 5 years of commercial experience in the field of Cloud Data Solutions Architecture, DevOps Engineering, or Cloud Data Engineering,
• Very good understanding and hands-on experience in designing Data Platform solutions (data warehouse, data lake, data lakehouse) on at least one of the Public Clouds (preferred Azure or AWS),
• Very good understanding and hands-on experience in handling CI/CD tools,
• Experience with solutions handling streaming data,
• Handling complex ETL/ELT/EtLT pipelines,
• Understanding of Data Governance related concepts and tools,
• Supporting development teams with containerizing applications (Kubernetes), shell scripting, Git, branching strategies,
• Good command of English (C1 level),
• Valid Solutions Architect certification (preferred Azure DP-500 or AWS SAP-C02).

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Apache open-source technologies,
• Experience in designing and maintaining hybrid (cloud and on-premise) infrastructure
• Data modeling with Enterprise Architect,
• Knowledge of external data lakehouse technologies (Snowflake, Databricks), as well as database transformation tools (dbt, DLT),
• Experience as a tech leader.
