We are looking for a Senior Software Developer for our Clean Code Chapter to join our team and work with our existing squads to champion clean software development best practices in SAFe methodology.

  • Coding, testing, documenting and debugging assigned development tasks to meet acceptance criteria
  • Refactoring legacy code to improve readability and testability
  • Participate in learning via code reviews and chapter learning activities and design reviews
  • Support the implementation of features according to designs and specifications
  • Implementing unit tests for new and existing code
  • Review proposed test cases and test automation to execute them
  • Communicate ideas and plans verbally and written in support of the team
  • Solving well defined issues for support and customers as needed
  • Support agile development concepts and participate in our SAFe process
  • Support the team and self based continual improvement

Skills/Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with C# programming
  • Excellent understanding of clean coding practices & principles (SOLID, CUPID, etc.)
  • Legacy code refactoring patterns
  • SonarQube or other code quality analyzers
  • Unit testing, possibly including test driven development
  • Unit testing tools and frameworks (xUnit, etc.)
  • Teamwork and communication


Nice to have:

  • automated functional testing frameworks
  • Python, Perl or other scripting language
  • experience with API services as a plus
  • AWS or other cloud
  • ideally AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Developer or willing to earn certification within the first year at NAVBLUE (supported and funded by NAVBLUE).
