Senior Linux Cloud Engineer

As a Linux Cloud Engineer you migrate, maintain & implement solutions in (private) cloud environments and advise customers (possibly in a lead role) for improvements in the field of security, reliability, and performance.

For team Yellow we are looking for a Linux Cloud Engineer who likes to work on the Middleware layer, with a passion for databases and applications in (private, i.e., Company VMware ESX) cloud environments. This team focuses on setting up and maintaining cloud environments, with zero downtime. They do this by automating, virtualizing as much as possible and everyone in the team takes ownership of his/her specific tasks. Cloud Engineers at Company are all-rounders with their own specialism within the (private) cloud field, in your case Linux. The candidate will migrate, maintain & implement solutions in a (private) cloud environment and advise their customers (possibly in a lead role) for improvements in security, reliability, and performance.

The aim of project is to improve the protection of urgently missing children in Europe. The platform (which Company manages) connects police and citizens in the search for urgently missing children:

• Stedin: Setting up and securing data from smart meters.
• McDonalds: the order kiosks run on Company software and infrastructure

Contract

• €49.248 – €67.392 /yearly
• €3.800 - €5.200 gross salary /month

• Together with the team the candidate will carry out proactive management and ensure that the technical requests of customers are solved as well as possible. 
• Where possible, you also make smart use of automation. Analyzing complex incidents/problems is also part of your responsibilities, and he/she should enjoy getting stuck into this. 
• The candidate does everything they can to prevent incidents by identifying potential problems and closely monitoring all environments.
• Working with LAMP stack & Oracle products in a mixed Cloud environment and automating where possible via Ansible.
