Lead Automation Test Engineer

Purpose
To perform software tests to ensure quality. Managing a team of Automation Test Engineers, ensuring their team is highly engaged and motivated to perform whilst fostering a
culture of continuous improvement. The Lead Automation Test Engineer will lead by example, always demonstrating the highest levels of integrity.

• Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test suites 
• Preparation of Validation Plans, Risk Assessments and Summary Reports  
• Preparation and execution of manual and automated regression tests 
• Building and improving automated test framework 
• Documenting test results, and compiling results into consolidated high-level reports 
• Liaising with Developers about issues, reproduction steps, resolutions 
• Investigating, raising, logging, and closing defects 
• Participating in agile ceremonies (stand-up, planning, reviews) 
• Manage all people processes including holiday planning, absence monitoring, recruitment, reward and recognition, employee development and performance management

• Ability to design test automation architecture  
• Good understanding of all phases of Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, test automation framework, debugging and documentation  
• Excellent problem solving, oral and written communication skills, multitasking, and scheduling skills including project timeline projections 
• Proficiency in written and spoken English  
• Understanding of CI/CD processes  
• Experience with Source Code Management tools like Git  
• Experience in leading and motivating team is preferential but not essential  
• Experience with Agile, preferably in Scrum Model 
• Certification in Domain/Testing/Delivery methodology like ISTQ
