The Problem Manager is responsible for the resolution (both reactive and proactive) of problems throughout the information system lifecycle, including classification, prioritization and initiation of action, documentation of root causes and implementation of remedies to prevent future incidents. Depending on the complexity of the solution, you might need to act through the entire plan-build-run chain and hence experience as project manager for smaller projects in meritable.

In your role as Problem Manager, you may also be consulted to handle ongoing incidents which requires bridging activities and coordination between different operations teams to conclude and resolve ongoing incidents of complex matters.
