As a Senior Principal Software Quality Engineer, you will develop, revise and maintain test plans, test cases and automated test scripts that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions and scope based on pre-determined product requirements. You will work with Product Development and the Customer Support teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate to develop comprehensive test plans across Dell’s product portfolio. You will also have the opportunity to drive continual process improvements for the evolution of testing procedures and their future replication. This role is based in Bangalore but will service and lead efforts across the globe. This includes but not limited to test automation strategy, approach, tools enablement, and test scripting for the functional, system, and user level of testing


  • Design and lead the effort on automation, CI/CD processes and tools to make our services simpler and more robust
  • Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes
  • Take part in the full software development life cycle including development, test, continuous delivery and support
  • Be an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and delivery

Essential Requirements 

  • 8+ years of related automation experience and Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a computer related field (CSE/ECE)
  • Python or Java coding skills
  • Experience on Linux/Unix OS platforms
  • Proven experience in Test Automation frameworks (Robot, Pytest, TestNg, Junit) and advanced knowledge of automated testing tools and procedures
  • Experience in automation of RESTful APIs

Desirable Requirements 

  • Experience in K8's or Docker container technology
  • Hands on experience in working on file system, storage system, S3, distributed system
