The Service Support Test Engineer will be responsible for analysing repair reports from the various Service Centres, including on-site verifications, fault recovery, including both preparing and analysing scenarios where faults occur, and collecting logs for the controller layers in the areas of stability and performance.

  • Analyzing the reports of repairs executed by various Service Centers, including onsite verifications
  • Defects reproduction, including both preparing and analyzing scenarios in which the defects occur, and collecting logs for driver layers in stability and performance areas
  • Preparing test resources and setting up test environments, including preparing automation test scripts
  • Providing solutions for problems found. Training local staff for Service Centers

  • Availability to travel up to 30% of the time during a year (1-3 weeks long business trips)
  • Good knowledge of Android devices: differences between OS versions, Google services dependencies and usage, user and developer settings
  • Experience in system/application troubleshooting, including capturing logs such as Logcat/Systrace, HCI logs, TCP dumps
  • Experience with test automation frameworks
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming (Java, Python)
  • Knowledge of Linux and BASH
  • Self-reliance in task performing with the ability to identify risks and issues. Capable of working under minimal supervision
  • Professional and clear issue description and reporting
  • Strong focus on getting tasks done, and on providing timely reports
  • Sense of esthetics when producing guide materials and when preparing presentations
  • Ability to provide trainings to service personnel
  • Attention to detail and strong perceptiveness. Strong troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate possesses a skillset that reveals excellent communicative, proactive and analytic traits
  • Experience with hardware testing will be considered an asset
